We must have address where child resides AND adult who is signing for it.

Adult taking ownership (signing) must be present when completing the application.

Temp cards may be issued to anyone who lives in Louisiana but is unable to show proof of address; other special circumstances (such as natural disasters & emergencies) are at discretion of library manager

Yes, but you can choose to get an E-patron card instead of a traditional card. This is an option for patrons who ONLY want digital resources. When registering for a library card, tell the staff you want this instead of a traditional account. It gives you a longer expiration date but will not allow you to checkout any physical items.

An LSW card allows you to check out items from the following parishes: Jeff Davis, Calcasieu, Cameron, Beauregard, Vernon, Allen and Rapides.

Residents of any of these parishes may apply for an LSW card at their home parish library.

This card does NOT give you access to other parish library’s digital materials, just the physical items, and each parish library may have different checkout rules that apply.
